International Bachelor's Program of Culinary Arts is the only International Program offering Chinese Culinary education in Asia. It is designed to provide students with applicable knowledge and skills for the principles and practices of Chinese Culinary Arts.

The curriculum focuses on key competencies related to culinary, pastry and food services/hospitality management.


Core study topics include:

- Cuisine of China, Taiwan, Japan and Western

- Fundamental and advance cooking and pastry methods/techniques

- Management, cost control, nutrition and menu development

- Banquet and catering operations

- Food and wine pairing

- One-year Internship

Internship Program


During the third year, all students will participate in a one year paid internship in the hospitality industry, either in Taiwan or Internationally.


NKUHT will assist in selecting a suitable F&B associate for the internship program.

Admission Requirements

Chinese-taught programs: Submit proof of Chinese language proficiency equivalent to Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) A2 level or above. Those whose native language is Chinese, or who have obtained a previous degree in Chinese, may be exempt from the above Chinese language proficiency requirement by providing relevant proof.
English-taught programs: Submit proof of English language proficiency equivalent to Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) B1 level or above. Those with nationality from an English-speaking country, who have obtained a previous degree in an English-speaking country, or whose previous degree was conducted entirely in English, may be exempt from the above English language proficiency requirement by providing relevant proof.
