According to regulation of the Ministry of
Higher Education and Scientific Research, the duration of study is 3 years as
below:
First Year:

The 1st Semester comprises five
modules, including one general module and four core modules relevant to the
department.
·
The 2nd Semester involves
formulating the PhD thesis proposal, assigning a supervisor, and delivering a
seminar presentation.
Second and Third Years:
· Each
year comprises of two semesters (1st and 2nd Semester), students
undertake their PhD Thesis.

affiliation (before defense).

Submit the first copy of the PhD thesis to the

For a PhD's Degree, Langauge-type exams are not a pre-requisite during Applying time or Enrollment Process but before getting the degree, or the PhD's viva discussion, It is required by the applicant that he/she has to get the exam type or at least a certificate of Pre-Intermediate(for Humanities Fields) or a certificate of Intermediate(for Medical, Engineering, Natural, Practical and Pure Sciences Fields) of the local language centers of the public universities in Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
