First Year:
· The 1st Semester comprises five modules, including two general modules and three core modules relevant to the department, and they follow the class activities such as Assignments, seminars, quizzes, and exams with other activities.
· The 2nd Semester includes five core modules specifically related to the department, and they follow the class activities such as Assignments, seminars, quizzes, and exams with other activities.
Second year:
Ø In the second year, comprises of two semesters (1st and 2nd Semester), students undertake their MSc. Thesis

Language Requirement:
IELTS 5.0 overall, or equivalent, also (Pre- Intermediate) certificate is accepted from international English language centers that belong to universities.
Scientific Ability Exam Process:
Ø The postgraduate scientific committee of the college specifies including (four or five) core modules.
Ø An examination that is written usually takes three hours.
Ø The competition is among students who succeed in the exam.
Ø Based on the number of seats available, students who pass the exam competing with one another.
Thesis Submission Process:
During the MSc at TCAS, students are required to conduct independent, individual research in the academic field of their chosen master's program including:
Ø Get the supervisor's approval on the thesis.
Ø College formatting approval with college affiliation (before defense).
Ø Submit the first copy of the MSc thesis to the graduate study office.
Ø Scientific evaluation approval of master’s thesis.
Ø Submit a paper copy to the thesis examination committee.
Ø Makes the corrections specified by the thesis examination committee.
Ø Singed papers (after successful defense).

The missions of Sulaimani Polytechnic University https://spu.edu.iq/ are primarily fulfilled through the academic departments. SPU offers 18 undergraduate programs by 5 colleges and 18 departments. All undergraduate programs at SPU follow the Bologna Process using the European credit accumulation system (ECTS). The Bachelor's program is divided into 8 semesters within 4 years.
To achieve a Bachelor's degree, students must collect 240 ECTSs (30 ECTSs per semester).
The first semester across all academic departments is considered a Foundation Program, which is designed to enhance the student's academic English skills, computer skills, critical thinking skills, and study habits. The later semesters are designed according to the student's majors, which aligns with the Bologna Process using an up-to-date program for the polytechnic universities. Further, the final semester includes research and project subjects, allowing the students to obtain basic research skills and project development and management expertise.

Master program general info
Sulaimani Polytechnic University https://www.spu.edu.iq offers postgraduate programs of Higher Diploma (1 year), Master's (2 years), and PhD (3 years) by nine academic departments. Similarly, all postgraduate programs at SPU follow the Bologna Process using the European credit accumulation system (ECTS). The Higher Diploma degree consists of 2 academic semesters, and a total of 60 ECTSs need to be collected, whereas, for Master's and Ph.D. degrees, 120 and 180 ECTSs need to be collected. The first-year academic postgraduate programs for both Master's and PhD include two university foundation modules: Research Methodology and Biostatistics. The other modules are related to their academic departments and modules necessary according to the research proposal. The maximum number of modules per semester is six modules. The second (in both Master's and PhD) and third (in PhD) academic years are dedicated to research proposal writing, data collection, student progress, and thesis writing.
