In addition to the merit score in entrance test called Vishwavidyalaya entrance test (VET), the students from weaker sections as defined in the constitution of India (scheduled caste and scheduled tribes) are admitted as per their reservation. Similar provisions as per the government of India norm are followed for economically weaker sections and other backward   classes to ensure inclusivity and access  in higher education. The students having extra curricular achievements at different levels are given preference.
