The department of CSIT is one of the premier department of the G G University, Bilaspur. It is also one of the founder department which was established in 1990. The salient features of the department for students are its track of placement. The students passing out from the department have been placed abroad and within- country in senior positions in software industries. A good number of students have also joined the education sector in India and abroad. The department has lush green surroundings in its existing building and very soon it is going to be shifted into a new building. The department has a good number of faculty members who are committed towards the interest of students and are available to them all the time with academic and mentor support. The students are offered internationally accepted courses and syllabi in theory and practical. Each student is encouraged to learn and develop real-time minor and major projects. In their final semesters, every student has the option to choose industry or research projects which really enables them to streamline their future prospects. The department arranges cultural events and encourages the participation of students in various academic, cultural, and sports activities at the university/ State/ National level for their overall personality development.
