The faculty members of the program have good academic record and have collaborative / interactive research works with many eminent mathematicians of India as well as abroad. The faculty members of the department are also reviewers and referees of many National as well as international reputed Mathematical journals. Recently a number of students of UG and PG from the program have qualified reputed national level competitive examinations such as NET, GATE, JAM etc.
The vision of the program is to become a Centre of Excellence in teaching, learning and research, bring out the potential of students by providing quality teaching, increase global linkages by attracting foreign students and establishing collaborative research programs and to work for well being of humankind through the study of Mathematical sciences.
