In addition to the merit score in entrance test called the Vishwavidyalaya entrance test (VRET), the students from weaker sections as defined in the constitution of India (scheduled castes and scheduled tribes) are admitted as per their reservation. Similar provisions as per the Government of India norm are followed for economically weaker sections and other backward classes to ensure inclusivity and access to higher education. Students with extracurricular achievements at different levels are given preference.
