During the three years of practical and theoretical training, students will learn to assess and treat patients in a personalized and integrated manner, addressing the challenges of a discipline that is rapidly expanding in the Italian healthcare system.

The course will provide all the skills necessary to intervene at every stage of life, promoting health and preventing chronic diseases.

Training Path

The training experience of the Degree Course in Osteopathy combines theory with practice to train osteopaths ready to face professional challenges.

  • First year: the scientific foundations for a good start. The first year will be a springboard for learning about the human body, its structures, and its functioning, through a solid scientific foundation. You will study morphology, biological processes, and disease mechanisms, then be able to apply the knowledge gained in practical laboratories, such as SimLab.
  • Second Year: Osteopathic Techniques and Practical Treatments

In the second year, it's time to immerse yourself in osteopathic practice ! You'll delve into the manual techniques and principles underlying osteopathy, learning to treat musculoskeletal disorders safely and effectively. You'll have the opportunity to combine medical science with hands-on training in osteopathic laboratories, where you'll begin to feel increasingly prepared to tackle real-world cases.

  • Third Year: Field Internships to Hone Your Skills.

The third year is the pinnacle of your training. You'll participate in professional internships, where you'll have the opportunity to treat real patients under the expert guidance of professionals. This is the time when your clinical skills will take shape, and you'll learn to manage patients in a multidisciplinary setting. An experience that will make you feel ready to enter the world of osteopathy!

Why choose the Osteopathy Course at UniSR?

  • Practical and innovative training : theoretical lessons, interactive workshops and internships in high-level healthcare facilities.
  • Experienced and qualified teachers : a team of osteopaths and medical specialists, ready to guide you through every stage of your training journey.
  • Healthcare System Integration : The course prepares students to operate in a rapidly evolving environment, where the demand for osteopaths is growing rapidly.
  • Professional networks and networking opportunities : Thanks to collaborations with hospitals and treatment centers in Lombardy and throughout Italy, you will have access to a vast network of professional opportunities.

Osteopathy in Lombardy: growing demand and the opportunity to train with a UniSR degree program

In Lombardy, the demand for qualified osteopaths is growing, with over 10 million Italians having turned to an osteopath and a 90% satisfaction rate (Source: Italian Osteopath Registry ). Osteopathy is becoming a fundamental pillar of the population's well-being. And this trend is even stronger in Lombardy, where the demand for experienced professionals is growing daily.

Osteopathy is no longer an alternative discipline, but an integral part of the Italian healthcare system. More and more general practitioners and specialists are referring patients to osteopaths for safe and effective treatments.

This means there's enormous opportunity for those who want to pursue a career in this field. But there's a problem: osteopathic training in Lombardy is still insufficient. Many aspiring osteopaths are forced to seek courses in other regions or at private institutions because local options are too limited.

This is why a degree program in Osteopathy in Lombardy is a crucial response to the growing demand for qualified professionals. Universities like Florence and Verona have already launched osteopathy programs, but Lombardy lacked a full-fledged university program. Now, with UniSR, you have the opportunity to train in the region with the greatest employment opportunities for osteopaths, in a dynamic and cutting-edge environment.

Osteopathy is currently undergoing a real revolution in Europe too, with countries such as the United Kingdom, France and Portugal having regulated and integrated osteopathy into their healthcare systems, recognizing osteopaths as autonomous healthcare professionals.

It's time for Italy, and especially Lombardy, to align with European standards and offer high-quality university education to prepare the next generation of osteopaths.
