Osteoporosis is a metabolic disease of the skeletal system in which a multifactorial reduction in bone density and deterioration of bone microarchitecture contribute to increased skeletal fragility, exposing affected individuals to a high risk of fracture. The epidemiological significance of osteoporosis, linked to increased life expectancy and the resulting large number of individuals at risk of osteoporosis and fracture, requires healthcare organizations to accurately identify individuals at risk and administer increasingly appropriate osteoporosis therapies, including on a pharmacoeconomic basis.
The Master's program is open to medical specialists in endocrinology and metabolic diseases, orthopedics, gynecology, rheumatology, physical medicine, and related fields who wish to provide highly competent clinical management of metabolic bone diseases and osteoporosis.
The aim of the Master's program is to train a professional physician prepared for these tasks in the specific field of metabolic bone diseases and osteoporosis.
