The Department for Human Genetics and Molecular Medicine was established in 2015 under the School of Health Sciences, with an aim to conduct multidisciplinary research in the field of Human Genetics, Translational and Regenerative Medicine. The research output of the department will be having direct application in diagnostics/Pre-Diagnostics and therapeutics of several pathogenic diseases including diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, stroke, cancers, reproductive, neurologic, and rare genetic disorders. The department has established state-of–the-art infrastructure facilities funded under the DST-FIST grant. Several research projects funded by UGC, DBT, DST, ICMR, CSIR etc. are undergoing in the department.
