Preparation of teachers with high level quality is the need of the hour along with providing the access of education to one and all irrespective of the level. In this context, realizing the need of providing quality education to the students of the backward region. The Department of Education, Central University of Punjab, earlier known as Centre for Education, was established in 2013 with a mission to enable young aspirants to meet the needs and demands of present techno-scientific era. The department endeavours to achieve excellence by facilitating quality based education and research for students and enabling them to acquire the skills that are required in the present period of globalization. It aims to provide a deep insight of life skills to address the global needs of 21 st century. The department is committed to carry out multidisciplinary research in the field of educational theory, curriculum and practice to cater the needs of the digital world.
