About the Department

Previously known as 'Centre for Environmental Law' started its working in 2011. In 2015, it has been renamed as Centre for Law under the School of Legal Studies and Governance was established with an objective to impart qualitiative legal education offering specialization in Environmental Law, Human Rights and Corporate Law to keep pace with needs of society.

Vision

The SLS envisions to build the capacity of the youth and stakeholders for proactive contribution in realizing the goal of Peace, Justice and Strong Institution as encapsulated by humanity in SDG 16 and welfare of the humanity (Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah).

Mission

Imbibing the learners with the skills to understand, interpret and apply law in inter-disciplinary contexts and develop a holistic approach for constructive change in society.
