From the second year you’ll specialise in statistics, building statistical theory and methodology on mathematical foundations, especially probability theory. Probabilistic modelling has applications in genetics, quantum physics and risk analysis, and is increasingly used in the financial sector. You can study design of experiments, financial time series and actuarial mathematics.
