Our Financial Mathematics MSci is ideal for students planning a career in the more quantitative areas of finance and banking, and for those wanting to undertake academic research.In your first year you’ll take modules that will give you a foundation in all the core areas of mathematics and statistics, and gain practical data analysis skills. In later years you’ll have the opportunity to study modules across financial and actuarial mathematics, statistical modelling, financial management, programming and more.In your final year you’ll take advanced modules and develop your research skills by completing an individual project in contemporary mathematical finance. Projects are supervised by one of the School’s academics, many of whom have industry experience in mathematical finance.
