Indonesia is one of the world's largest archipelagic countries, with great potential in fisheries and marine affairs. To better utilize this potential, the BINUS Graduate Program is collaborating with Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad) to design the Master of Digital Business Fisheries program. This double-degree program aims to develop capabilities in the use of technology and digital transformation to advance Indonesia's fisheries sector. Program Advantages: This program is designed to meet the needs of the increasingly developing fisheries industry. Strategic Collaboration: The program is a collaboration between the BINUS Graduate Program and Unpad, combining expertise in information technology and fisheries. This collaboration ensures that the program focuses on industry needs and provides comprehensive insight. Multidisciplinary: The program is open to graduates with backgrounds in information systems, technology, and fisheries. It enables students to conduct multidisciplinary research covering technological and fisheries aspects, resulting in a holistic understanding. Digital Transformation: In today's era of digital transformation, we emphasize the use of technology in transactions, distribution, security, and information system governance in the fisheries context. Students will be equipped with the knowledge needed to face the challenges of the modern fisheries industry. Collaborative Curriculum: The Master of Digital Business Fisheries curriculum is designed collaboratively by the BINUS Graduate Program and Unpad. We combine courses relevant to information systems, fisheries governance, transactions, distribution, and digital technology. These courses provide a comprehensive understanding of the modern fisheries industry and effective business strategies with a technological touch. Period 2: Business Intelligence and Analytics (4), Research Methodology (4), Philosophy of Science and Statistics (3). Year 2, Semester 1, Period 1: Digital Entrepreneurship and the Creation of New Fisheries Enterprises (6), Eco-biology of Aquatic Organisms (3). Period 2: Advanced Topics in Management Information Systems (4), Pre-Thesis (2), Advanced Fisheries Economics Resources (3). Year 3, Semester 1, Period 1: Information Systems Investment, Valuation and Assets Management (4), Seminar 1 (1), Ecophysiology of Cultivated Organisms (3). Period 2: Service Oriented Enterprise and Innovation (4), Elective course (3): Fish Breeding, Management of Inland Water and Marine Aquaculture, Fish Feed Technology, Primary Production, Restoration of Fisheries Resources, Ecosystem Dynamics, Fermentation Technology, Food Quality and Safety of Fishery Products, Nutraceuticals, Natural Resource Balance Analysis, Economic Valuation and Assessment of Damage to Fishery Resources and Aquatic Environment, Regional Economy. Year 4, Period 1: Seminar 2 (1). Period 2: Thesis (6). Cumulative credits: 58. Lecture System: Our program is designed to meet the needs of the increasingly developing fisheries industry. The duration of study is two years. During this time, students will gain in-depth knowledge and the skills needed to become experts in digital business fisheries. We use a hybrid lecture approach that gives students flexibility. Each semester includes courses taught by lecturers from BINUS and Unpad. Students enrolled at BINUS can choose to attend online lectures for courses delivered by Unpad lecturers, and vice versa. Students may also attend onsite classes and use the facilities provided by the BINUS and Unpad campuses. Class schedule: Monday to Friday, 18:30 to 21:30 WIB. Career Prospects: As a maritime country with abundant fisheries resources, Indonesia needs professionals who can manage, develop, and market fishery products using digital technology. Graduates of this program will have career opportunities in various fields, such as fisheries management, manager, supervisor, or in the fisheries distribution and transaction sector. Competencies: This program aims to develop the following competencies: mastery of sustainable fisheries governance and cultivation; use of technology in fisheries governance, transactions, and distribution; understanding of digital fisheries business development and marketing; skills in integrating digital technology into fisheries systems; and the ability to analyze and make decisions based on fisheries data. Tuition Fees: Semester 1 Rp 26,075,000; Semester 2 Rp 26,075,000; Semester 3 Rp 26,075,000; Semester 4 Rp 26,075,000. Admission Requirements: Academic: required to take the TPA and interview. Language ability: TOEFL above 475. Educational background: open to all bachelor's degree and D4 graduates. Notes: if GPA is below 3.00, the minimum TPA score must be 450. Institutional TOEFL validation must still be valid within one year.
