Indonesia, as the world's largest archipelagic country with the longest coastline, has extraordinary marine resource wealth. However, the management and monitoring of our marine resources are currently still limited, several marine biota and coral reefs have already experienced extinction, and the beauty of our seas cannot be properly monitored. To answer these challenges, the BINUS Graduate Program, in collaboration with Universitas Padjadjaran (Unpad), designed an innovative study program, the Master of Marine Digital Technology, which aims to bring together marine science and digital technology. By joining this program, you will be able to apply digital solutions for the development and utilization of marine cultivation. The program is not only related to business aspects, but also focuses on governance of the overall marine system. Our vision is to maintain the sustainability and preservation of marine resources and to increase the potential of tourism and the marine industry in Indonesia. Program Advantages: Combination of Marine Science and Digital Technology: The program provides a multidisciplinary approach that combines marine science with mastery of digital technology. You will gain strong knowledge and skills in integrating information technology, such as IoT (Internet of Things) and blockchain, into marine cultivation and conservation. Application of Digital Transformation: The main advantage of the program lies in applying digital transformation to marine conservation. You will learn how to use effective information systems and other digital technologies to preserve marine resources, enhance marine tourism, and contribute to Indonesia's economic growth. Period 2: Pre-Thesis (2), Advanced Topics: Marine Pollution Management Systems and Ecotoxicology (4), Development of Biodiversity (2). Year 3, Semester 1, Period 1: Seminar 1 (1), IS Security & Risk Management (4), Climate Change Mitigation (2), Tropical Marine Biocomplexity (2). Lecture System: The Master of Marine Digital Technology is a double-degree study program with a study duration of two years. Each semester, we offer courses taught by lecturers from BINUS and Unpad. Therefore, to provide flexibility to students, we apply a hybrid lecture approach. Students registered at BINUS have the option to attend online lectures for courses taught by Unpad lecturers, and vice versa. Students may also choose to attend classes directly on campus and enjoy the facilities provided by both universities, BINUS and Unpad. Class schedule: Monday to Friday, 18:30 to 21:30 WIB. Career Prospects: This program is intended for individuals interested in pursuing marine science, digital technology, or a combination of both. It is not limited to graduates of related undergraduate programs; we also welcome those with different backgrounds who are enthusiastic about utilizing Indonesia's marine potential. As a graduate of the Master of Marine Digital Technology, you will have opportunities to develop a career in various fields related to marine affairs, including: Digital Marine Consultant: applying expertise in digital technology to provide innovative solutions in marine resource management, marine tourism development, and nature reserve management.
