This unique and innovative degree in Learning and Teaching at Cardiff Met offers a detailed insight into education at all ages and in all places, and will examine both theory and practice to unpick ‘effective’ learning and teaching based on international best practice and research evidence. You will consider a diverse range of factors that influence learning including the importance of learner voice, the diverse needs of learners of all ages and the importance of health and wellbeing for both learners and educators. The BA (Hons) Teaching and Learning Studies prepares graduates for a variety of dynamic roles. It provides opportunities for those who wish to work in professions associated with education, but who don't wish necessarily to become teachers. It is designed for students who are looking for some choice and flexibility in their studies. Students can choose from a range of professional qualifications in diverse areas such as adult education and training, online education and support, English language teaching and leadership and management. Please note that this course doesn't allow you to qualify as a teacher, but it will equip you to explore postgraduate routes into teaching careers (via the PGCE).
