The BSc (Hons) Virtual & Augmented Reality course will enable you to explore the ever-changing landscape of virtual and augmented reality, equipping you with the knowledge and strategic mindset to create new VR and AR applications and experiences. As you progress through the course, you will learn the skills that will allow you to explore and develop your own ideas, as well as understand the business and career opportunities that exist in the VR/AR and wider IT industries. You will learn the underlying Computer Science and Software Engineering skills needed to develop real-time applications, together with essential UI / UX design principles. You will use different languages, including Python and C/C++, apply real-time graphics techniques, and program spatial audio systems to bring to life your immersive experiences. Through the exploration of human-computer interaction, you will learn how gestures can be used to create interactive experiences. You will also get practical knowledge in software project management, as well as the industry standard tools and techniques used to create your own VR and AR applications.
