MFin: A Powerful Combination of Finance
and Data Analysis

Prepare for a global financial career with the Sprott School of Business Master of Finance (MFin) degree. Complete your MFin degree in 12-16 months*! The MFin program combines the latest theoretical and practical financial knowledge, data analysis skills, and develops proficiency in at least one programming language popular in the financial industry, making Sprott MFin graduates highly competitive and agile in the job market.

*Candidates who possess two or more years of relevant financial industry experience at the time of admission may satisfy the MFin internship requirement.

Coming Soon! A part-time stream with evening classes on campus will be offered starting in the Fall Term 2026. The part-time program will take 24 months to complete.

CFA® Program Focus

Course content covers in depth the CFA® Institute Chartered Financial Analyst Candidate Body of Knowledge. MFin graduates will be prepared to pursue a CFA® designation upon completion of their coursework.

Internship

During the final term of the program, MFin students will complete an internship to build professional experience. MFin students will have access to career services for career advising and support with job search, resume and cover letter writing, networking, and more. As a Sprott student, you will also have access to on- and off-campus networking events, employer information sessions, as well as exclusive job and internship opportunities through Sprott’s career portal.
