Training Objectives Telecommunications and computer networks are at the heart of the digital transformation reshaping all sectors of activity. The convergence of voice, data, and video services, combined with the rapid evolution of Internet technologies, mobile communications, and cloud infrastructures, requires high-level expertise to design, deploy, and secure complex communication systems. This Master’s program in Networks and Telecommunications responds to these growing needs by providing advanced scientific and technical training in the architecture, administration, and optimization of modern communication networks. It builds upon the solid foundations acquired during the Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, where students were introduced to essential modules such as Wave Propagation, Signal Processing, Analog and Digital Communications, Transmission Media, Propagation and Antennas, and Computer Networks. At the Master’s level, the focus shifts toward advanced design, integration, and management of networked systems. Students explore modules such as IP Routing, Standards and Protocols, Advanced Signal Processing, Advanced Digital Communications, Linux Systems, and Advanced Programming (Python), which enable them to address the challenges of emerging technologies such as 5G/6G, IoT, and cloud-based infrastructures. Additional courses such as Network Administration, High-Speed Networks, Satellite Networks, Transmission Channels, Coding and Compression, DSP and FPGA Systems, and Optical Fiber Installation and Maintenance develop both practical and theoretical expertise. The second-year curriculum includes Wireless and Mobile Networks, Network Security and Cryptography, Artificial Intelligence, Web and VoIP Technologies, Wireless Sensor NetwoResearch Methodology and Thesis Design, preparing stud
