Electrical energy is central to the economic development of any country. It is inevitably vital to the functioning of all the mechanisms that govern various social dynamics. As such, electrical engineering, in all its segments (production, transmission, distribution, conversion, and control), has occupied a key position in the industrial sector of these countries and continues to be the subject of special attention, scientific investment, and ongoing technological improvement. Electrical engineering continues to develop thanks to advances in power electronics, microprocessors, and programmable logic controllers. Furthermore, optimizing electrical systems and improving their efficiency represents a promising challenge for the sector through the application of sustainable development concepts by reducing their weight and using recyclable materials. All these major technological developments recorded in recent years have increased the need for skills in the electrical engineering field among industrial companies. Investing in training and preparing managers to meet these challenges is becoming essential. This program is offered with this objective in mind. The program is structured into six semesters, the first two of which (Common Core) apply to all students in the Science and Technology program. The third semester is a pre-specialization program and includes all students in the Electrical Engineering program. Starting in semester 4, the courses become specialized and are primarily focused on electrical engineering. This bachelor's degree, due to its generalist nature, offers a balanced curriculum in the four areas of electrical engineering: electrical machines, electrical networks, automation, and power electronics. It is motivated by the fact that today, the four electrical engineering options are very closely linked (an electrical machine is often used with a static converter and the control circuit).

Admission to a Bachelor's degree program at an Algerian university is primarily contingent upon successfully obtaining the Baccalauréat, the national secondary school leaving certificate. The specific minimum score required on this exam, along with the required major or stream (e.g., Sciences, Literature, Technical), is determined annually by the Ministry of Higher Education for each field of study. Prospective students must then complete the centralized online application process, where they rank their university and program choices. Selection is competitive, with placement being offered based on Baccalauréat scores, the availability of spots in the desired program, and the order of the applicant's preferences.
