Master of Science in Insurance (MSc-INS) programme (the Programme)# is the first master’s degree programme in insurance in Hong Kong. It combines practical knowledge with theories and principles in insurance domain to build a challenging and stimulating learning experience. Our students are expected to assume important roles in the insurance industry after graduation.
The curriculum introduces risk management concepts in insurance and their applications. Furthermore, quantitative models, regulatory practice, compliance, and business ethics are included as core elements. Industry practitioners can also choose to study topics in life and health insurance, general insurance, investment and financial analysis, as well as management and marketing to suit their own needs. Contemporary issues in insurance will be discussed throughout the curriculum.
The Programme aims to provide students with broad insurance knowledge and advanced techniques in insurance so that they can make informed business decisions for the betterment of the society. It enhances students’ professionalism, enabling them to provide high quality service to the general public, and also provides whole-person development and helps groom future leaders in the insurance industry and society.
#The Programme is recognized as Qualified CPD Activity under the CPD requirements of the Insurance Authority.
