Admission Requirements

Admission of foreign citizens to METU on a fee-paying basis is carried out based on the results of an interview conducted by the METU Admission Committee throughout the calendar year. Enrollment of foreign citizens is carried out in accordance with the academic calendar, no later than 5 (five) days before the start of the next academic period (admission before the start of the 2nd semester is allowed). Documents in a foreign language must be submitted with a notarized translation into Kazakh or Russian. Educational documents issued by foreign educational institutions are subject to the recognition procedure in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan after the applicant’s enrollment, within the first academic period of study.

The university assists in obtaining a student visa only after all foreign applicants have completed the mandatory verification procedures in accordance with the requirements of the relevant legislation.
Yes, all students who require dormitory accommodation will be placed in the “Studhouse METU” dormitory or in dormitories and student hostels of nearby universities.
For the safety of residents, the dormitories are under 24-hour security, equipped with video surveillance, access control, and a concierge service to prevent unauthorized entry.
Admission of foreign citizens to METU on a paid basis is conducted based on an interview held by the METU Admissions Committee. The interview lasts 20 minutes and evaluates the applicant's knowledge and interest in the chosen program.
Each foreign student is assigned a curator who assists throughout the entire period of study, including guidance on clubs, internships, and other activities.
The university has its own medical center, and in case of emergencies, the assigned curator assists students.
