This Department offers courses in anatomy, histology, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, Microbiology, virology, immunology and parasitology. In addition, the Department contributes in the teaching of toxicology, forensic medicine and infectious diseases courses and their laboratories.
It also participates in the supervision and in the activities of the diagnostic laboratory at the Veterinary Health Center(VHC). Furthermore, the Department offers consultations and participates in the diagnosis of diseases for the cases brought to the VHC from various areas in the country and in addition to the evaluation of veterinary drugs as it is requested by different pharmaceutical companies.
The Department extends its teaching services outside the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine for undergraduate and graduate students into different disciplines in other departments and faculties of JUST, Yarmouk University and Jordan University.
More specifically, the Department assists in teaching some courses in the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Medicine. This is in addition to cooperation and links with several departments inside and outside the university in graduate programs.
