Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest and broadest areas of the engineering profession. The Mechanical Engineering Department at JUST was founded in 1979 at Yarmouk University.
Currently, there are 33 faculty members in different specialties; seventeen of them are full professors. A number of our faculty members have received numerous national and regional awards for research, and are active editorial members and referees for many recognized international journals and conferences. A considerable proportion of our graduates has been very successful and had risen to distinguished positions in both the domains of industry and academia.
