The program has been specifically designed for students and professionals who want to pursue a career and excel in the construction industry. The CEM program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) and Applied and Natural Science Accreditation Commission (ANSAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). The program offers world-class theoretical knowledge in construction engineering and management (CEM) that is combined with practical knowledge and professional practice. Students will be exposed to critical knowledge for leading each aspect of a construction project and a construction organization. Our program curriculum covers traditional yet critical areas that focus on the management of cost, schedule, quality, safety, risks, and contracts for construction projects. Additionally, the curriculum has been carefully designed to accommodate the most cutting-edge science and developments in the domains of sustainability, innovation and automation, digital technologies, and modern project management in construction. The program also recognizes the need for the graduates to be knowledgeable about aspects of a construction business and the industry in general and therefore the designed curriculum covers breadth in construction law, ethics, economics, finance, accounting, and leadership.

Admission Requirements
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in engineering (from an ABET-accredited institution or equivalent).
- Academic Standing:
A minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 (or equivalent) for regular admission.
Applicants with GPA between 2.5 and 3.0 may be considered for probationary admission.
- English Proficiency: International applicants must provide satisfactory TOEFL or IELTS scores, in accordance with KFUPM graduate policies.
- Graduate Admission Test: GRE may be required for non-ABET graduates or applicants with GPA below the threshold.
- Supporting Documents: Applicants must submit an updated CV, official transcripts, statement of purpose, and letters of recommendation.
- Evaluation Process: Applications are reviewed by the Department Graduate Committee, with final approval from the Deanship of Graduate Studies
- Candidates are required to submit references or letter(s) of recommendation for acceptance
- Candidates are required to submit an essay(s) for acceptance
