The MSc Law & Professional Practice is a two-year postgraduate degree, with the first year available as a stand-alone Postgraduate Diploma. It provides a comprehensive and rigorous introduction to law and practice in preparation for the SQE and a legal career as a solicitor or barrister in an evolving and competitive sector.

The programme is open to graduates obtaining a higher 2:1 degree classification or above who have not undertaken, nor are currently undertaking, legal education or training which substantially comprises the study of, and/or practice in, the laws of England and Wales.

UK candidates must have a high 2:1 non-Law undergraduate degree with a final mark of at least 65% as this programme is designed for those without formal studies in Law, such as an LLB, GDP, PGDL or some Master's programmes in Legal Practice. All other degree subject areas may be suitable.

In order to meet the academic entry requirements for this programme you should have a minimum high 2:1 undergraduate degree with a final mark of at least 65% or above in the UK marking scheme. If you are still studying you should be achieving an average of at least 65% or above in the UK marking scheme.

Overseas candidates must have a non-law undergraduate degree with equivalence to a high UK 2:1. with a final mark of the equivalent to at least 65% or above. Undergraduate Law degrees, the content of which does not include the study of English and Welsh law, may also be suitable with the same grade requirements.
