The MA in International Higher Education and Management (IHEM) programme is designed to equip students with theoretical knowledge to investigate issues concerning international higher education, policy and governance, and the management and leadership of contemporary higher education institutions. Students will achieve and practice their management skills to pursue or advance their careers in education-related fields. The programme offers various courses to optimize students’ learning experiences, including seminars, workshops, and international experiential learning. Therefore, IHEM appeals to staff and professionals working in the management or policy-making positions in the higher education sector and other education-related organisations, as well as those who want to lay the foundations for a promising career in the field.
Our graduates will have a wide choice of career options. They could assume advanced management or administrative positions at universities, schools, education-related organisations, education departments in government, and NGOs. They could also conduct research on education to inform the policy-making in the education sector. Further study in MPhil and PhD programmes is also a quality option for our graduates. Some of our graduates have advanced to doctoral programmes at universities in the UK and Hong Kong.
