The Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Master of Engineering (M.Engg.) in Textile Engineering (TE) at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) are advanced-level postgraduate programs designed to develop high-level expertise, research capability, and innovation in the textile and apparel industries.
The program spans two years (divided into four semesters) and comprises 36 credit hours. The M.Sc. program emphasizes academic research, with 50% of the credits dedicated to a research thesis, while the M.Engg. program is designed for professionals aiming to enhance their technical and managerial skills, including a 6-credit project component.

Entry Requirements (for TE Program)
- Academic Qualification
- Candidates must hold a B.Sc. in Engineering degree in ICT, CSE, EEE, ETE, ECE, or an equivalent discipline from any recognized university.
- Applicants must have obtained a minimum CGPA of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00 (or equivalent).
- The bachelor’s degree must be of at least four (4) years’ duration and approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh.
- Candidates possessing degrees from foreign universities must have equivalency certified by the UGC.
- Current Postgraduate Students
- Candidates currently enrolled in any M.Sc. (Engg.) or M.Engg. program at a recognized institution may also apply.
- Application Fee
- A non-refundable fee of BDT 1000 (One Thousand Taka) must be paid during the application process.
- Selection Procedure
- All applicants are required to appear in a written admission test.
- Final selection will be based on the admission test performance and previous academic records.
