You will learn about animal nutrition, reproduction and breeding in a context that respects environmental concerns and animal-welfare issues. In upper-level courses, you’ll be introduced to the latest advancements in various animal industries (dairy, beef, swine, sheep and poultry).
These courses are complemented by enriching learning activities. You’ll attend instruction at the Macdonald Campus Farm and field trips to many production facilities throughout Québec. When taken in conjunction with the Major in Agro-Environmental Sciences and the Specialization in Professional Agrology, it fulfils the eligibility requirements of the Ordre des agronomes du Québec (OAQ).
This specialization must be taken along with a major in the BSc(AgEnvSc). The recommended major is Agro-Environmental Sciences.
