The Doctor of Education in Educational Management Program is created to offer professionals at all levels in education or related sectors relevant and creative education to equip them for management of educational institutions in the twenty-first century. It improves their knowledge, attitudes, values, and abilities in educational management, particularly with regards to the curriculum and school system, instructional supervision, resource management, both financial and material, and educational research and evaluation. It seeks to generate graduates who will administer education in a moral, spiritual, and accountable manner.
The doctorate program is composed of 20 courses or 70 units on educational theories and principles, theories and processes in curriculum and instruction, trends, issues, and policies in education, organizational and supervisory leadership, school law, policy analysis in education, and research principles.
For larger and more complicated duties in program administration and research, the doctorate program will further train and develop educational managers, superintendents, administrators, principals, supervisors, professors, and educational researchers. The material will provide an emphasis on cutting-edge and contemporary theory, concepts, principles, and practices in the many specialties as they relate to the social, political, and economic environments of today.
