The special studies in art program leads to the B.F.A. degree and is designed expressly for interdisciplinary study. Curricula are designed to allow students to take classes within the larger University, which gives students exposure to the liberal arts as well as courses in business and entrepreneurship. All programs have student organizations that participate in community service projects and the selection of visiting artists, who are a critical component of the department. The department also engages in numerous educational partnerships with Syracuse schools and agencies.c
