GIBMTE has always been at the forefront of Taipei Medical University research activities, grant awards, publications in international scientific journals, and participation in International Congresses. The education and research curriculum of GIBMTE provides a unique emphasis on the acquisition of a global vision of the scientific and market needs. In addition to links with local industry, GIBMTE has established numerous research collaborations with foreign universities as well as research contracts with companies in Asia, Europe, and USA. Our students have advisors and co-advisors from both the basic research field and clinical domains, as well as concrete potentials for foreign co-advisors for their MS or PhD degrees. The concrete international exposure offered by GIBMTE provides opportunities to interact with different scientific and industrial cultures and to present, discuss their data at international meetings and publish in international scientific journals. GIBMTE curriculum, with all classes and seminars in English, offer opportunities for contacts with Taiwan industry entrepreneurs. We have put in place pragmatic dual-diploma programs with foreign universities (University of Lille, France; Tokyo University of Science, Japan; ILIS, France) to help students acquire scientific and market skills needed at global level. Further our Institute is involved into several international research programs with Universities in Europe, Japan, Australia, and USA, in particular.
