Cardiovascular diseases are the main cause of death in the Mexican population, and it is one of the main causes of work disability and economic loss. For this reason, specialists who are experts in the detection of cardiovascular risk factors and who have sufficient skills for early diagnosis, risk stratification, and effective treatment are required.
High-quality cardiological medical care requires, in addition to solid scientific knowledge, a commitment to the social, political, economic, and cultural development of the community where the cardiology professional works. In accordance with the foregoing and in accordance with the Mission and Vision of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, the Specialty in Cardiology seeks to train professionals through a teaching model of assistance, medical education, and high-level research. The objective is to generate learning, generation of new knowledge, capacities, and international competences. Without losing sight of the fact that the profile of the graduated cardiologist includes a performance strictly attached to integrity, ethics and with respect for human dignity and life.

Admission Requirements

Comply with the comprehensive evaluation required in the admission process, through an interview conducted by the admissions committee of the graduate program. In addition, the following is necessary:
- Simple copy of the Bachelor´s degree Certificate where the following information is indicated:
- The overall GPA.
- Completion date of all the subjects of the study plan.
- Simple copy of the Bachelor´s degree.
- Motivation letter or essay in which the candidate explains the reasons for his or her interest in the program, his or her potential contribution to it and the area in which he or she wishes to develop professionally.
- Curriculum vitae.
- Two letters of recommendation in the institutional format, from employers or professors.
- Obtain at least 550 points in the adaptive version of the Postgraduate Studies Admission Test (PAEP) or its equivalent in other exams authorized by the Institution.
- Obtain at least 550 points in the TOEFL exam or its equivalent in the other exams authorized by the Institution as an instrument for assessing the sufficiency of English language proficiency.
- Submit a file with the result of the ENARM Exam and psychometric exam.
