Human resources are central to every organisation. Students will be equipped with an awareness of contemporary HRM issues in readiness for being a future-thinking practitioner with cutting-edge knowledge of human resources development. Year 1 is mainly tutor led and focuses on broad business knowledge and skills. Students will explore key business and management concepts and are introduced to the specialist area of human resource management. Year 2 takes a more student-led approach focusing on exploring students’ own interests and deepening their insights as well as having more responsibility for their own learning. During this year students will develop a broader international perspective to the study of business. As well as studying four core business modules, including a module where they gain practical work experience via a self-identified project, students also study two modules in the area of human resource management. The final year explores more advanced topics within business and management. Students will learn about the strategic, international and applied aspects of human resource management and undertaking a self-managed independent project via the Dissertation module.
