The Master's Program in Project Management was designed to provide people who work as professionals in the public or private sector with knowledge and skills on the comprehensive management of a project.
Project Management is a methodology to plan, organize and manage activities and resources to achieve the goals of a project. This can only be achieved by properly training committed and competent people and professionals, capable of becoming a Project Manager.
In the Magister in Project Management of the American University, we do not only intend to train senior executives or Project Managers, we intend to train professionals who, following the best practices in Project Management, are capable of generating wealth in their companies and institutions.
The Project Manager is that professional who, within a company or institution, stands out from the rest for being able to lead the company in his head, for understanding its complexity, reality and future projection, this is achieved through an effective combination of science and art that makes him extraordinarily effective, enormously profitable and very difficult to replace. The Project Manager is the 21st century professional for any entity that wants to be competitive and understands success as an undeniable reality. We are firmly convinced that Project Management is the answer to any crisis, the way to overcome it and the most effective roadmap to minimize the risks of making past mistakes.
It responds to current demands in terms of training and professional specialization, according to the needs of both public and private companies, developing skills related to knowledge in the area.
