This subspecialty has a duration of three and a half years and it is a prerequisite to pursue it to have completed a year of Internal Medicine.

You must have a broad background of basic knowledge that will allow you to acquire knowledge related to the specialty.

  • Scientific foundations of Medicine, and of Internal Medicine and Hematology in particular.
  • Broad knowledge of scientific methodology and the epidemiological method.
  • Basic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in Internal Medicine and Hematology.
  • Teamwork.
  • Promotion of a healthy lifestyle to prevent diseases.
  • Warmth and availability to care for the patient and his or her family.
