The Master's program in Bioinformatics, specializing in Platform Engineering in Biology (IPFB), trains highly qualified specialists in cutting-edge technological platforms with dual expertise in platform biology and bioinformatics.

This cutting-edge training program meets the current needs of recruiters. It provides the essential foundations for conducting large-scale, complex, and transdisciplinary biological research projects in the private and public sectors.

This training, unique at the national and international level, combines translational theoretical teachings in various fields including imaging, cytometry and omics (genomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics, proteomics, metabolomics,...) and practical experience in one of these fields.

It takes place at the University of Paris but also on the various sites of the network of partner platforms in the Ile de France region in collaboration with 70% professionals.

In this program, the first year of the IPFB Master's degree is the M1 Biology-Computer Science – Platform Engineering in Biology track (M1 BI-IPFB). This newly created, rigorous, and interdisciplinary program, at the interface of biology and computer science, equips students with the essential skills to propose innovative solutions for projects related to bioinformatics and biological platforms. The dual expertise provided by the M1 BI-IPFB forms the essential foundation for the Master 2 Platform Engineering in Biology track (M2 IPFB).

The second year of the IPFB Master's program is the M2 Platform Engineering in Biology track (M2IPFB), which provides training in the technologies of various biological platforms, covering both biological processes and data management and processing using bioinformatics. Learning the concepts of platform management, administration, and management contributes to the unique nature of this program.
