The PharmD for Practicing Pharmacists program combines coursework and practical experience to help position you to practice to a full scope as part of an interdisciplinary team in a variety of settings, including hospitals, primary care and family care clinics, and community practice. You’ll also be equipped with the knowledge, skills, and leadership qualities to work in various healthcare settings, organizations, or government agencies.

Important information about admission to the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences

The minimum requirements for admission to the PharmD program are a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from a recognized institution. Normally, an overall GPA of at least 3.0 or equivalent in a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree is required.

Additional Requirements:

An entry to practice pharmacy degree from a recognized institution

Normally, an overall GPA of 3.0 or equivalent in the entry to practice pharmacy degree

*Proof of current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a pharmacist in the jurisdiction where direct experiential patient care placements will be completed

*Authorization to administer drugs by injection where legislated

Official transcripts from the entry to practice pharmacy program and any other post-secondary education completed

Applicants must meet English language proficiency/ spoken English requirement
