Study the latest technologies and practices that are actively shaping the energy sector today. At a university located at the heart of the UK’s energy estuary – a region at the forefront of the country’s zero-carbon ambitions.
You’ll explore technologies such as solar energy, sustainable heating and cooling, smart energy, biomass, and energy storage. Develop an in-depth understanding of the mitigation and adaptation approaches to reduce carbon dioxide emissions with high-efficiency energy technologies. And build your expertise in physical and numerical modelling of advanced energy technologies.
Our teaching is informed by the research expertise in our Centre for Sustainable Energy Technologies (CSET). You’ll benefit from our strong international, national and regional links with industry and research. Gain practical experience of renewable energy system design including studying and working with real-world demonstrations of low-carbon heating and cooling systems. And carry out an independent investigation into a specific area of energy and low carbon technologies – including opportunities to work on a real-world research or consulting project.
