We will give you a solid grounding in computer science, set within the context of game programming – concentrating on programming, simulation, interactive real-time graphics and artificial intelligence. We have strong links with many of the UK's top game studios, including Electronics Arts, Sony and Microsoft, while our multimillion pound virtual environments lab (HIVE) provides an incredible opportunity for you to explore state-of-the-art technologies including motion capture, multi-wall display systems and various head mounted displays. Our degrees are accredited by the British Computer Society (BCS), meaning you gain full exemption from the BCS’s Professional Examination as well as partial Chartered Engineer accreditation. This is the highest BCS award that undergraduate courses can achieve. We offer the option of a foundation year, ideal for students without the academic qualifications for direct entry to the BSc course. You can also choose to boost your employability with an industrial placement year, a year studying abroad, or by taking your studies to a higher level with an MEng qualificaiton. See our website for more details.
