The Medical Education study program of the Faculty of Medicine Unram has the goal of graduating doctors who are competent in their fields and produce doctors who are professional and able to solve health problems in Indonesia. At the regional level, the ability to solve problems based on archipelagic medicine is emphasized. To achieve this goal, the faculty implements a competency-based curriculum, which is regularly evaluated and updated. At the academic stage, the learning process uses a block system, which includes multisystem blocks and system blocks. Each block has a learning goal that must be achieved by students, with students being the main axis of the educational process (student centered learning). There are 21 blocks that must be passed in the academic stage to get a medical degree, which is normally taken in 7 semesters.
