The Department of Digital Systems aims to train young scientists in cutting-edge technologies that are part of different fields of study and relate to information systems, software technology, data analysis, artificial intelligence, telecommunications, networks, cybersecurity and privacy, computational biomedicine, multimedia, and digital technologies in education and governance. The Undergraduate Program (UP) aims to create specialized scientists capable of contributing to the development, implementation, and management of modern digital technology systems, but also to educate them in order to enhance critical thinking, precision of expression, and theoretical thinking.

It aims to provide knowledge and understanding of all the technologies used to create software, telecommunications equipment, network connections, and services, familiarizing students with algorithms and complexity, internet protocols and network management, creating applications and services, as well as familiarizing them with risk analysis and management methodologies with the aim of designing and developing secure systems. The laboratory courses aim to provide in-depth knowledge of programming, operating systems, databases, and the design and simulation of telecommunications networks and systems.

Upon completion of the program, students will be able to analyze and evaluate the requirements of a system as well as setting specifications and designing integrated solutions.
