Yes, the Department of International and European Studies at the University of Piraeus operates an active MUN society known as the University of Piraeus Model United Nations Society (UniPi MUN Society). Established in 2010, it is a student-run, non-profit organization that prepares delegations for national and international Model UN and European Parliament simulations. The Society focuses in promoting democracy, diplomacy and active participation among students. UniPi MUN Society conducts training sessions and debates every week, so far participating in over ten conferences per year, both in Greece and abroad. With a history of over 15 years, the Society has won over 260 awards in more than 120 conferences, including notable distinctions at PIMUN (Paris), EuroMUN (Maastricht), and Lyon MUN.
