Chemistry majors will also be assigned a faculty advisor to guide each student and help them achieve their goals. Students will also have the opportunity to work closely with world-class faculty both in research opportunities in areas such as marine nutrient analysis, protein chemistry, lanthanide extraction, computational modeling, organic reaction development, natural product isolation and chemical education. Students interested in obtaining a graduate degree in chemistry or who wish to attend a professional school (dental, medical or veterinary) may wish to consider a degree in chemistry.
