In the first year, students focus on building a strong academic foundation in economics. They take courses in independent research, economic methodology, academic writing, and professional communication—skills essential for advanced analysis and research later in the program.
The curriculum covers a broad range of topics, including economic theory, econometrics, project evaluation, industrial and technological economics, financial analysis, policy design, and interdisciplinary research. As students advance, they gain hands-on experience conducting independent studies and applying analytical tools to address real-world economic challenges.
Graduates are well-prepared for diverse roles such as economic analysts, researchers, policy specialists, consultants, financial analysts, and project evaluators. They find opportunities in banks, government bodies, international organizations, private firms, and research institutions. The program also serves as a strong stepping stone for doctoral studies and careers that demand advanced economic expertise.
Students in the Economics program have opportunities for internships and practical experience with major organizations such as the State Tax Committee, Ministry of Finance, Uzbekistan Neftgaz, AGMK, Ipoteka Bank, Asaka Bank, Kapitalbank, Orient Finance Bank, and international firms like PwC, Deloitte, KPMG, EY, and Mazars.
