Admission Requirements

Applicants are expected to have a valid general secondary school (11 years) diploma (Attestat) with a good academic performance across key subjects. All applicants need to take the University's online entrance test, on its official website, which assesses their foundational knowledge and analytical thinking. Apart from the entrance test, the applicants have to submit a motivation letter specifying their academic interests, career objectives, and the reasons for choosing UTAS. The selected applicants may also be invited for an admission interview conducted by the University to assess their overall skills, and readiness for undergraduate study. The following must be provided: applicant’s passport or ID card, school diploma and transcript, and supporting documents requested by the Admissions Committee. Candidates who demonstrate good performance in both their school grades and entrance exam results will be given considered for admission.

In the first year, students study foundational IT and mathematics courses, including Information Systems, Programming Fundamentals, Discrete Mathematics, Mathematical Logic, Applied Mathematics, a Foreign Language, and Linear Algebra with Analytic Geometry. Together, these modules build the theoretical and technical base required for further study in algorithms, software development, and systems analysis.
Across the program, students engage with a broad spectrum of IT disciplines. In Information Systems, they examine data structures, databases, information flows, and IT service models. In Information Security, they explore the principles of confidentiality, integrity, and availability, as well as cybersecurity standards and protection technologies. Artificial Intelligence modules introduce concepts of machine learning, natural language processing, problem solving, and intelligent systems design. Courses in Software Development Technologies address algorithms, programming theory, software design, testing, and continuous improvement, complemented by subjects such as big data analytics, software engineering, system design, and web technologies.
Graduates are prepared for a wide range of professional roles, including IT Specialist, Software Developer or Programmer, Java Developer, C++ Developer, Information Systems Analyst, Database Administrator, AI/ML Assistant Specialist, and Cybersecurity Specialist.
Alumni are employed in leading public and private organizations, such as the Tax Committee, Ministry of Finance, Uzbekneftgaz, AGMK, Ipoteka Bank, Asaka Bank, Kapital Bank, and Orient Finance Bank. Many also work in international consulting and audit firms—including PwC, Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst & Young, and Mazars—and in large corporations such as Coca-Cola Uzbekistan, Akfa Group, and UzBAT.
