Civil engineering focuses on the design, construction and maintenance of structures and infrastructure, from the deepest tunnels to the tallest buildings. On this program, students will choose courses in areas like Building Science, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, Mining & Geomatics, Structural Engineering, and Transportation Engineering & Planning. In each of these areas, Toronto is a living lab for our students. The program commences with math, computing, chemistry, physics, applied structural mechanics, fluid mechanics, hydraulics, materials, surveying, geology, computer graphics and engineering ecology. Upper-year courses will provide hands-on experience.
