Mineral engineering is the applied science of human interaction with the planet. The Lassonde Mineral Engineering program apart has a broad approach to the discipline. Students will learn mineral exploration, mine design and management, mineral processing and mining finance. The courses will cover topics in chemical, civil, materials, mechanical and computer engineering, as well as math, physics and geology. The teaching staff consist of researchers and engineering professionals working in the Lassonde Institute of Mining, an international centre of excellence at U of T.
