Students have the opportunity to live and study for a summer, a semester, or a year in Russia. The Woolslayer Room in Russian Studies is richly furnished with instructional materials, including Russian periodicals, maps, videos and DVDs, access to satellite broadcasts from Russia, and advanced computing and video projection systems. It serves as the centerpiece of innovative language instruction using an approach developed in Russia, as well as a resource for other courses in the program. Courses taken through these programs are evaluated for transfer credit toward the major on a case-by-case basis by the director.
